| Fic! |
[16 Jun 2009|04:12pm] |
Well, would you look at that. I wrote fic!
I actually wrote the vast majority of this in late March, and only got around to finishing typing it up and polishing it today.
Yay, fic!
Title: Harbouring Fugitives Fandom: DC Comics Word Count: 2675 Characters/Pairing: Piper, Trickster. Synopsis/Warnings: AU - what if James hadn't pushed Hart away after Hart escaped from Iron Heights? Suitable for anyone who is not offended by re-writing of canon scenes, sadistic prison wardens, or fics showing ex-cons in a positive light.
( The first paragraph is stream-of-consciousness. It gets more conventional after that. )

| Sketch Meme! |
[15 Jun 2009|08:21pm] |
Act now and you'll receive a sketch plus a bit of lineart and if you're lucky, some colour!
Post a fandom and character/pairing and a prompt if you wish from the following list of Azi-approved fandoms, and in return, I will draw you a sketch of said character/pairing.
This is totally not because I'm procrastinating on my 22 (or more) times Wally West was Oblivious series.. nooooo.
Go now! I shall close submissions when I decide I'm tired of drawing. Or something.
FANDOMS I AM FAMILIAR WITH MOST OF THE CHARACTERS IN: DC Comics Harry Potter Lord of the Rings Watchmen Pixar movies (well, I can attempt. I don't guarantee I won't fail miserably) Dr. Horrible Newsies RENT Shakespeare (well, maybe not super-familiar, but I am a nerd and can research if you are a nerd and want art) Wicked Twilight (but I DO NOT promise no mockery.) Marvel Comics (same parenthetical as for Shakespeare) Given reference images or random inspiration, I may also be persuaded to draw for other fandoms as well.
If you really want, I suppose you can make more than one request, but they should be in separate comments, for clarity's sake. And don't make like.. ten requests, or I reserve the right to not fill them.
EDIT: I am still taking requests! Also, I'm working on the requests I've already received - honest!

| New Art! |
[05 May 2009|12:21pm] |
And it's hand-drawn, even! On paper! It's been forever since I've done more than a sketch off-computer.
So, this is sort of a re-vamped version of a picture I drew of Supergirl a while ago.

| Fanfic100- What, another ficlet? |
[30 Mar 2009|10:31pm] |
Prompt: 060 - Drink Word Count: 400 Rating/Warnings: Suitable for all audiences, except those who don't like soda or soda connoisseurs. People who don't like the word connoisseur will be relieved to know it does not appear in this fic. Spoilers: None. Prompt Table

| Apparently, I wrote this in November. |
[17 Jan 2009|12:03pm] |
This is the only writing I've done for something other than a class since last time I posted. It was meant to be part of a longer thing, but it kind of works as a self-contained scene.
Stay. Away. Word count: 349 Fandom/Universe: DCU - Pollenverse Characters: Niko Sandsmark-Kent, Lois Lane, Clark Kent, Lex Luthor Rating: Suitable for anyone who doesn't mind intense rivalries, broken families, mild superdickery, or the POV of a small child with superhearing.
( Stay away from my family, Luthor. )

| Um, art I've done since last update |
[17 Jan 2009|11:20am] |
So, the last time I posted any art here was Sept. 2007.
So. Art post! This'll be long and stuff, I may break it up.
I drew a couple pictures in 2007 but they're not really worth putting up because I've improved a lot over the past year.
So, 2008 arts!
( Image heavy under here )
Okay, that's all my art up until now.

| Standard Pollenverse Warnings |
[06 Jun 2008|10:40am] |
Okay, this is going to be kind of long. Anyway. I'm writing this because I've been starting to write a bunch recently and, seeing as I’m on a roll, I need to write a disclaimer/explanation to link to if I’m going to write any drabbles set in the Pollenverse that relate more directly to any of the sexpollen... incidents. Alright, so here goes.
In short, standard Pollenverse warnings are for slash, MPreg, AU, crossover, and original characters who, if scrutinized a certain way, can look a lot like Mary Sues.
( In long... )
Okay, so, if you’ve read through all that, you’ve probably forgotten why you were linked here. Sorry. If you’ve read all that and you’re like “Wow, I need more information on the pollenverse!” Then this is a place to go. There are roleplay snippets, character bios, and all sorts of random stuff. The only thing missing are the playlists for various characters that I made in iTunes, but I’m still working on those.

| Random Writings! |
[06 Jun 2008|12:49am] |
So I stumbled upon this site that was the random writing exercise generator. It gives you random non-fandom-specific prompts to follow. So I decided to follow a few.
Sneaking Out Rating: Suitable for All Audiences, except those offended by a) Original characters in worlds you can barely tell are non-original from the context, or b) AIs developed enough to pass the Turing Test. Word Count: 509 Fandom/Universe: Pollenverse Characters: Miranda, Craydl Prompt: (write for) 15 minutes * female character - under 18 * sneaking up/down stairs
( Of course, she'd forgotten the robotic family 'pet' in her plans to get out for a night. )
Comfortable. Rating: Suitable for all audiences, except those who think people should think in complete sentences and never repeat themselves. Word Count: 100 Fandom/Universe: Unspecified Character: Someone who's dating a girl. I was kind of thinking Thad when I wrote it, but it's really not that specific. Prompt: drabble (100 words) * stream of comsciousness * feels like home
( Feels like home )
You are standing in a forest... Rating: This is suitable for all audiences provided they are not offended by Text-based RPGs or traumatised at any mention of death. Word Count: 145 Fandom/Universe: Gehagralia (my original "High fantasy" universe) Character: A Mountain Elf Prompt: POV - second person * A Mythical Creature or Idea * break the rules
( You cannot see anything. )
Certainly Crazy Enough Rating: Suitable for all audiences who aren't offended by a) people who offer their crazy opinions to retail slaves who can't really do anything about it, or b) dried flowers. Word Count: 351 Fandom/Universe: Pollenverse and/or general DCU. Characters: Pamela Isely, Harleen Quinzel, Shop Assistant Prompt: (write for) 10 minutes * A character you've never written before * dried flowers
( After all, this was Gotham, and you never knew what could happen there. )
Bat-cookies! Rating: Suitable for all audiences, unless you happen to be offended by the mental image of Batman either baking or eating chocolate chip cookies with milk. Word Count: 481 Fandom/Universe: Pollenverse and/or about a week after the events of Impulse 51 Characters: Bart Allen, Batman Prompt: (write for) 10 minutes * your favourite character * hot cookies and cold milk
( If the bats were robots, they were really good at not feeling like robots. )
Yay! Okay, that was long.

| Why is newsies_msn gone? |
[13 Mar 2008|05:13pm] |
This is an update just to give you the heads up. In light of LJ's recent sekrit disabling of the ability to create basic accounts (aka not many options, but free with no ads), and also in light of the fact that I'm pretty tired of having to log out and log back in to post to *either* newsies_msn or sideofkick, I've combined both into this journal (which I update more frequently and is also more general). All NMSN "episodes" are found under the nmsn tag. Awesome.

| Crazy project of insanely huge drawings |
[22 Jan 2008|09:38am] |
Alright, so if you visit this journal with any regularity, you may notice that my top banner is, once again, different.
That banner is my progress so far on what I am calling my crazy project of insanity.. to draw everyone in the Pollenverse.
So far I've done the "pencils" for three Arbitrary Eclectics and Five irregulars. To have those teams finished, I need to draw at least four more people. And that's just two of the smaller teams in the 'verse, not to mention inking and colouring has to be done too.
Um, yes. I'll be posting updates here as I get more and more done. So, warning, large images may be linked to from here in the future.

| Crack? |
[16 Apr 2007|11:09pm] |
This will probably be absolute rubbish, but I'm bored, so I'm challenging myself to write drabbles and/or snippets based on whatever characters my crack cards decide to tell me to write about.
Some will be more shippy/smutty than others. Also, I am transplanting characters rather than messing with time travel when it seems necesarry. Because.
( Jason Todd and Spot Conlon: PG? Not too shippy. )
( Roy Harper and Owen Harkness Erm.. PG-13? )
That's it for now..
I need sleep.
luv n' skittles,
